Entry #3: Icy

The contents inside rattle and clink against the cold metal. Inside the cold metal contains an even colder substance. Clink! Rattle! Clink! Until eventually they all spill out, one by one. They are assorted colors, all bright and vivid shades of blues, reds, and yellows. The colors are not as intimidating as the smell or taste. The taste is similar to how it smells. It is a strong smell that fills the room with a sweet and icy chill aroma. The smell flows into your sinuses, enough to decongest a stuffy nose. The aroma is almost unjustified because of how small and tiny each piece is. Almost 100 fit into a two inch metal container. The smell, however, is not as intense as compared to its strong taste.   The intensity of the taste compared to its size, is very much intimidating. The taste is the definition of the phrase “do not judge a book by its cover.” As soon as it touches the tongue, the frosty taste instantly cascades your mouth. The chill of the flavor is...

#2 Five Years Later

"I like the color green, in every shade." uttered Frank Ocean in his monologue at the end of " LEMONHEAD " (2021) by Tyler, the Creator. To an outside listener, this was just the outro to a song on the latest Tyler album; however, anyone with awareness of Ocean's ghost status to social media and news outlets, knows that this is the first time in almost two years that his voice had made an appearance to streaming services. To a Frank Ocean stan, this was the part where we all started jumping up and down in excitement.     August 20th marked the five year anniversary of Ocean's critically acclaimed album Blonde . Since 2016, fans have been left with very few releases of singles and features from the artist. He rarely posts on social media and makes rare public appearances, leaving us fans begging for even an Instagram post.      January 2020, it was announced that Frank Ocean would be headlining Coachella along with Rage Aga...

#1 The Blueprint of Social Media

Blogs. A word I have not heard since Tumblr was at its peak back in 2014. I am not sure what I previously considered a blog to be, but I certainly did not think blogs were still as functioning and popular as they are now. Growing up in the 2000s, blogs were pretty common. It was one of the most common form of socializing on the internet, but with the internet quickly evolving I had missed the era of following specific blogs. Instead I remember Tumblr's version of blogs. If you do not remember that era, it was a social media where you could make a profile and create your version of a blog. With such freedom on a big website people made it really... weird. I mean not all of it was bad but Tumblr blogs will forever be looked back on as a weird time on social media. Blogs as a general though have become something that I am happy to see that has not died or lost traction. In fact, it has only evolved with the internet as well. I have taken interest in so many websites that I never woul...

All About Me!

Hi! My name is Miyali Lias (pronounced Mia-lee) but people know me better as Miya. My name is Korean and Hispanic, and to many people, very awkward to pronounce. This school year is my first year attending Glendale Community College, I am a full-time student planning on majoring in Political Science but am also prepared if something changes my path. I am also a cosmetology student at The Studio Academy of Beauty.      With my busy schedule its hard to keep up with my interests, but my main ones include cosmetics and spirituality. I spend a lot of time reading my tarot cards, interacting with my crystals, and keeping up with the  alignment of the stars and planets . All of it reassures me I am going the right path in life. Another big interest of mine is my music. I absolutely love listening to music and truly appreciating production and lyricism. Some of my favorites at the moment (its always changing) is Lana Del Rey, 21 Savage, Mac M...
